Valerie Anne Bertinelli has been an American actor, author, and screenwriter for over 30 years. The twice Golden Globe Award winning star made a name for herself with her roles in CBS's One Day at a Time in the role of Barbara and Hot in Cleveland when she played Melanie Moretti. The career of an actress started when she was a teenager. She has since become an experienced character actor.
